The purpose of the Warren Township Police Bike Patrol Unit is to enhance community relationships and to provide “specialized patrols” in areas where bicycles may have an impact. Bike patrols create a high visibility and are useful in reducing crime in both neighborhoods and shopping areas. Bike patrol officers can also access areas not normally accessible by patrol cars.
The Bike Patrol Unit is used for community policing activities such as The Warren Township Memorial Day Parade, Lyons Club Expo, Downtown Patrol, Spring/Summer Sports Events, and Halloween Patrol.
