Russell W. Leffert - Chief of Police

The Warren Township Police Department was incorporated in November 1972.

The newly created force was chartered to protect the residents of Warren Township on March 8, 1973 under the direction of the first Chief of Police Leonard Visoski. Prior to 1973 the New Jersey State Police handled all Police matters in the township.
